Book Club
The book club will start its meetings at the end of September. The book that we will be reviewing is "A Young Muslim Guide to the Modern World," by Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr. It is an excellent book for university students. Our hope in having a book club is that it encourages hearty discussion, opening minds to various opinions, and a love for reading. After all the first commandment from God to the Prophet(PBUH) was to read.
We will not be able to provide people with books, therefore it is their responsibility to get a copy for themselves. If interested please visit www.amazon.ca or www.islamicbookstore.com, or any other bookstore.
Our first meeting will be an introduction to the book itself as well as the bookclub. So it is not necessary to get a copy for the meeting. However we will be meeting each month to discuss what was read so far.
