Update: Brother Nfaba, Brother Walid, and Sr. Asma Have been added to the MSA team.
It is our unfortunate duty to announce that two of our dear executives have resigned. Br. Nader AbdelKader and Br. Daniel Chornopyski have decided that they can no longer commit to the executive duties. It is our hope that they do well in their university careers. As well we can not forget to thank them for their hard work over the summer months.
We will have an election to fill the positions that are now vacant, Office Manager and Education Commissioner. Their duties are as follows:
- The Education (Tarbiyah) Commissioner: Shall be responsible for all educational programs organized by MSA for Muslims and/or non-Muslims (e.g., Halaqas (Islamic educational circles), Arabic Classes, Qura’n classes).
- The Office Manager: Shall be responsible for organizing and managing the MSA office, Prayer rooms, libraries, and prayer services
The elections are set for September 16th 2011 after Friday prayers. Nominations are due by September 15th 2011.
